Dr John has kindly published an article that I have written in appreciation of Dr Clay's book.

It can be found at:

Wow! Congratulations! What a well written article. I too, have read and enjoyed parts of his book that we were given links to on this website, found it very helpful. I see the connection between external stimuli and internal environment in finding that positive change process- that I have found myself in the middle of! My emotions are now in control thanks to a healthy balance and relationship between external stimuli in combined with my most inward emotional life that comes to surface, when things line up externally.

How proud you must feel about your article- can you share what aspects of the book personally helped you?

It's a great work and I will do anything/everything necessary to continue our support of it, including articles such as Adam's.

Is Dr. Clay still alive? My understanding was that he was very ill, and his absence here suggests an unfavorable outcome...

Dr Clay is still alive.

He is ill with cancer which has slowed him down quite a bit, but he is still studing psychology and hoping to write a bit more as and when he feels able.
Thanks for this!

((((((Dr. Clay))))

I do not know if you read this....(perhaps you really do) I wish you God's speed in your recovery from cancer. Slow writing is still good and fine writing. May you write, and help, even more

awwww

Thank you all for your concerns and kind comments. Yes, I have been gone for a while but it was a bit of a shock to read I might be dead. I'll try to do a better job of staying in touch. I want to send a special thanks to Adam for his wonderful essay about Psychological Self-Help. He may have read more of my book better than any one else...and he sent me many ideas for improving my writing. Bless him. Bless you all.

I am feeling well, considering everything, and working on an Addendum to Chapter 8. It will be a while before I send it to John. John Grohol is another person I am deeply grateful for...he has been a blessing for 15-16 years in publishing my book. So many people have helped since I started teaching self-help in 1970.
