Is it weird that I like when I have bruises? Or I like when I get hurt? I am assuming this is a part of self injury. I do cut but haven't in a while. Now I just keep bruising myself and am not satisfied until it turns black and blue. Does anyone else ever get like this or have any experience with this? Thankss

Not weird. I'll sometimes go out of my way to temporarily hurt myself, or I used to go out of my way to bruise myself. It's still "addicting".

Yeah, I do that at times too. It helps relieve some of my stress throughout the day if I can glance down and see it. A lot of times when a person is actively SI, it's hard to get through something really unpleasant. Most of the time you're in a place where it's not safe to SI -- it helps ease the anxiety when you can see a nasty injury. (Or at least it's that way with me.)

Please don't tell me that we had that conversation, 'Cause I won't remember, save your breath 'cause what's the use? Aahh, the night is calling, and it whispers to me softly, "Come and play". Aahh, I am falling, and if I let myself go I'm the only one to blame. I'm safe, up high, nothing can touch me, but why do I feel this party's over? No pain, inside, you're like perfection, but how do I feel this good sober?" (From the song "Sober", by Pink)
