For those who are easily triggered PLEASE DO not Read this post.

For the past few months I've been having some disturbing thoughts of going bike riding and in the process of riding my bike to start self harming myself in public. I feel that I need to show the public how I feel deep inside because nobody else is seeing it, even to my friends who are suppose to see these kind of things and to show concerns. I live near a hospital and I keep visualizing myself riding around the hospital self harming myself.

How can I get these thoughts outta my head? I almost done this recently but I had a change of mind and went to do other things instead.

You need to speak to a professional and find out the root of why you have these thoughts, and then begin the healing process of why you think these things, and then they should settle down once you've sorted it out.

Please find some support. Do you have a t? There are some contacts on the sticky at the top of the forum. You may want to call them.

I strongly believe that you must speak with a therapist, doctor, etc
Calling a helpline number can be helpful
When I saw your public profile, with you mental health issues, this is very likely to occur
By talking things out, things will become more resolved
BPD is really difficutly to cope with because the mood tends to be shifty
Have you tried using coping strategies?
Please keep me updated because I really care about you

The idea is simply not to allow yourself to get lost in regrets about past or worries about the past or worries about the future. If you are firmly in the present moment, the past can be an object of inquiry, the object of your mindfulness by looking into the past, but you are still grounded in the present moment"

I don't know if you are seeing a T but as with what everyone has said, I hope that you are or that you decide to find one.

Here is what I am learning. Thoughts seem real, it's almost as if they become our "friends" to help us get through our lives or periods of them. It's hard to let go of them but talking about them is one way to get help. I think creating a consitent realationship with a therapist is vital to the process b/c your therapist can help you find coping mechanisms and help you discover what is underneath it. Sounds like you are "suffering" right now and probably have been for a really long time so the thoughts and feelings are coming to the surface.

It's scary and I'll be the first to say this is not "easy" but what if you could alleviate some of the pain that you are experiencing - would it be worth it? I'm still struggling with that answer but maybe it is.
