Didn't cut for 8 years
Did last night, again and again.
Then again today.
It's so wrong, but made that pain transfer.
I'm a dumbass.

It is a way to cope. New stressors that you need to talk about????

You arn't stupid. It's hard to be 'on guard' our entire lives in a, what sometimes seems, futile attempt to avoid resorting to negative coping mechanisms.

I had 8 months down at one point. Now I'm 1 week. Its hard. Don't be so down on yourself. Just take it from here.

Everyone messes up once in a while. The big question is how fast you recognize that. If you don't allow yourself to mess up ever, you will interpret this is a big, big problem. If you forgive yourself and understand that you slipped up, you can quickly STOP the cutting and get back on track. You now have 8 years with a minor slip up under your belt. You should still be very proud.
