I mean, someone mentioned it to me but it doesn't make sense. I don't cut or do anything like that, but I push everyone I love away. I am pushing away my only friend and I am breaking up with my bf. I have lost multiple friends in the past few years which is more then i had before I became depressed. Would losing loved ones on purpose be considered self injury when you know you will cry over it for weeks to come?

honestly, I don't think that counts. I looked online and it says that it involves tissue. But besides that, I think you are causing emotional pain. Its a bit different. But hopefully someone else will give an opion.

Good luck.

I don't think that it is SI either but you are doing it for a reason. Some reasons that I can think of are 1) you don't feel you deserve good things?, 2) you are afraid of intimacy?, 3) you want to drop them before they drop you?
