Question for all, that have told there Therpist about SI....

How much did you tell the therpist?? I'm wondering how much they really need to know. Is just knowing enough?? And just say if it was normal SI of Cutting or something Abnormal.

FYI I will check this later after I get back into town come Thursday Afternoon.

I wish I could give you some info but I'm not seeing anyone about me doing it yet. And no one but the people on here know that I SI. But I have wondered these things myself because I know I need to talk to someone about it and get help.

I do not SI but I do know being open and forthright has helped my therapists help me.

Perhaps it depends on your comfort level. In other words, disclose what you are comfortable with and add to the disclosure in increments. Whatever works to give full disclosure to your therapist.

Good luck.

The only thing that I've said is that I harm myself with hot and cold. and just not all the details yet. Thats all my T knows. But how much more should I tell, now that is the question... (and I got off early from work, so I checked sooner, and it was only 13.5 hours and 2/3 of that was DRIVING to the location for work)but still the question remains how much do I say?
