I have agreed with my T that partial hospital might be a good deal for me now. I am so scared. I cut the word ugly on my stomach but I dont remember doing it at all. The lady that did my intake interview yesterday was so mean to me. "I don't have time for you to chase your baby around I know you were told to get child care and you were not to bring him here" I was really put off by the way she spoke to me. My baby was very good during the interview. I had no one to watch him. I am rambling cause I am upset and not thinking clearly. I will end now and try to get my stuff together to post a less confusing.

Don't feel bad. I don't see any reason for someone to treat a person rudely and it seems as though she was out of line. She certainly could've been more understanding.
The important part was that you were there and your going to be getting some help.
Wishing you the best,
Heidu

Some people are just plain rude, but I am glad that you are getting the help you need. What is involved with partial hospitalization?

Some people just don't understand the difficulties of parenting when you are on a mental plain like the one you are in. I found many times I just was not able to get childcare set up but when I look back on it if I was feeling better then I was I may have been able too but at the time it was impossible. Then there are the times when you really can't get child care because everyone else is full up but this interview was important for you to be at so I think that gal should eat her shoe.

I'm so sorry about your initial contact with the interview people, Courtney, but I have heard really positive things about the partial hospitalization concept. Wishing you well! Warmest regards, Peanut

I will be doing the partial program as soon as I get a baby sitter. I will be going to the behavior health center from 10 am to 2 pm 4 days a week and on the 5th day seeing my T. I really dont want to talk about cutting, sexual abuse, or how I managed to totally isolate myself and my children from the world. I just want to get better. I have a feeling they want to sit around and "remember" and discuss in detail childhood abuses. I will not do that. I think it too painful and not helpful at all. I hope for the best but I am not very sure.

Courtney,

Having to remember and deal with the things that have been your problems is scary and hard to do. Hopefully this program will give you time to go at your own pace and as you are comfortable with it. And we'll all be here to support you when you need it too. So will your T and the people in the program.

That's too bad that interviewer was like that. Starting new partial hospitalization soon

Wishing you the best,
Wendy
