I have been self-injuring myself for several years now. I can't seem to stop for long periods of time anymore. My old psych. doctor decided to close my case, and the end result of that caused chaos. In the mean time I have I have been off of my medications now for sometime. I have learned that my self-injure has gotten worse because when I dont sleep my system decides to shut down. I need to stop self-injuring so I can get this summer job. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can stop like asap?

The only things that have helped me are 3 things. Tight rubber bands on both my wrists ( which I pop constantly on my vien ), my husband threw away all of my razors and anything else I could cut with, and holding ice in my hand until it hurts and then on my wrists until it hurts. oh and have someone with you at all times so you won't be alone and they can distract you. i just stopped myself. But the main reason I don't anymore is because I'm never alone and constantly being watched. If you ever wanna talk you can pm me anytime.

Stopping SI involves therapy. Are you in therapy?
