had to. . .
pull it across the whiteness of my sin
turned brown by freckles
on my skin
each one calling me a ***** a slut
im nothing more
than silk for blades
to cleanly slice and cut apart
one day i'll reach and slice out
this wretched heart

Im trying to put it out into words instead of keeping it all in where it eats me alive. Some days I feel less like a ***** but more like silk - just blowing and bunched and nothing more than a pretty thing wth no substance.

That analogy to silk is powerful. Do you feel like you're lacking substance, or depth? I noticed "thing" too (a pretty thing), and I relate to that, as I tend to think of myself as an object - a thing to be used up and thrown away, and then when I feel useless it seems like time to be thrown away.

Good job putting it words and talking about it rather than acting on it. I hope that you can see that there is more to you, and you are a good person and worth something, but I know it's hard.

(((((((hugs)))))))))

Gracey you are like silk. Beautiful, graceful and soft. I hope you can start to see this as it sounds like you are. I know it is a hard place to get to and journaling a great way to express yourself. Please take care of yourself.

Writing seems to be working the last couple of days.

I feel like silk. . that pretty thing that lacks substance. I know silk is beautiful, I know it is valuable, buts beauty and value is only b/c of its frailty.
