I'm new here, self harming isn't such a problem for me at this point - I get the impulse to do it but I don't cut myself the way I used to.

My issue is that it's getting hotter where I live and I've been at a college since September where no one knows about my SI history. I have 7 thick white scars, about 8cm long on my right forearm and a diagonal pink one overlapping them that after about 3 months still looks disgusting.

These span over about a year and a half with months between them but they've evened out to look pretty much the same - which worries me.

Honestly, do they heal or am I stuck with them? They were deep cuts with the sharp knives. I can take a picture if it helps?

I had some really deep ones one my hand that were extremely visible for years, but now about ten years later they're better. They're still there, but the color and the edges blend in better with the surrounding skin.
