A few months ago I was sent in and out of a mental hospital 3 times within a week for self harm. I haven't cut in almost 3 months but I want to...Oh how I want to... The worst I have done is stuck a thumb nail into my leg in an attempt to make myself bleed but it didn't help... I hate feeling like this but at least I haven't given in and I am in group therapy/skills therapy to help me come up with coping methods to help me out ... I paint or play violent video games to help but it doesn't always help.. Any ideas?

You could try reading. It tends to take my mind off things, and put me in a better mood. at very least, it's a temporary escape.

Of course! I hope you find something that will ease your urges to self-injure, you deserve better than the pain you're in.
