but when i go home for the break i want to go my t and see if i can get some xanax. im thinking in my head that this way, whenever i feel like im going to burst, i can take a xanax instead of getting to the point where i feel like cutting. do you think if i ask her specifically for the xanax she'd think something was up? i don't/never have had any drug addicton problems, i just think this would be beneficial to me. she doesnt know i used to cut. thanks for the input, everyone!

Maybe explain your symptoms then ask about anti-anxiety drugs in general for starters. That way you can open up the conversation without looking like you have an ulterior motive.

Good luck! I think it's a positive step for you to ask for meds rather than bursting. i posted something like this in anxiety...

Thanks, I do too. I just don't want her to think I'm only there to get some drugs. Which I am, lol, but I think she'd take it in the wrong way!

Hereiam, you could become dependent on the drug and get to the point where you feel like you can't cope without it.
I went throught that myself with xanax when I was going through anxiety.
Are you looking at other ways to help relieve the symtoms of anxiety?
Xanax is only for temporary relief. It's not going to cure it.

Not looking for a cure, just something to curb my SI impulses.
