I got real drunk, slept walked and wrecked the house. My roomate was real pissed and threatened to kick me out. The next day I punched myself in the jaw so hard, I thought I might pass out.
Don't know what to do to control this kind of behavior?

You explained to us that you do it because you want to feel the physical pain more then the emotional pain. So I would think that you need to start focusing on dealing with the emotional pain instead. You need a therapist for this. In another thread you wrote about needing insurance for therapy. Have you looked into government supported therapy or sliding scale therapy like with United Way?

Can you not drink? Mixing alcohol with BiPolar isn't a good idea.

I'm not talking about government assistance. I'm talking about going to a clinic that is funded by the government. You pay taxes and your taxes pay for these services. These services are important to our entire society. If more people are mentally healthy it is better for all of us.

Not sure that there is such a thing around me. I live in backwoods PA/WV. Maybe in Pittsburgh or Morgantown. I will look into it.

I hope it works out. Your being an alcoholic should be no reason not to go into therapy. There should be therapists out there who are willing to work with you even if you don't get sober. It may be a little harder to find though. However you really do need to work on these emotional issues.
