Lately I have been doing my best to not cut but I end up doing other things like pulling out hair, biting myself, or just scratching with my nails.......and I have a knife in my room (for emergencies not cutting) and I have never actually cut myself with a knife but I think I might soon if the thoughts don't go away I am afraid I might do something really bad, my biggest worry about this is the longer I go without it the deeper it is and I don't know why.....It has been 2 weeks since I last did it......

Hello,

Are you currently seeing a psychiatrist or therapist? Are you on any medications?

no I am not on any meds I refuse to anyways because half the time they fix the problem but cause more problems they aren't worth it. I just started counselling but we didn't talk about anything yet......

What type of emergency do you need a knife for? Not a good idea to keep a knife in your room. Are you ok? Do you need stitches?
Call your therapist or go to er.y
Thanks for this!

Hello meme. I understand how frustrating and confusing it is to feel like you do. When looking at myself I tend to see the parts I don't like. When others look at me they see the positive side of me and what I am able to offer my world.
You are not a failure, you are an equal person to all on this planet. Love you're self like what ever you love the most in life.
Please be well meme.

*hugs*.

(councillors are there to help us too, give it time and you're's will help you).

Take Good Care.
Thanks for this!

I do not need stitch's. I have a knife in my room because I am paranoid, and my sister has a creepy ex-boyfriend who looks in our windows and takes pictures, and I hate him.

Hang in there. I used to cut to deal with the struggles I was facing and when i quit initially I had tons of urges to continue the behavior. Then as time has passed, I have fewer and fewer urges to hurt myself.

I agree with Sanada... give yourself time to work on things and know that there is hope to get through this. You deserve this gift to yourself.

Urges do pass, unbelivable as it may seem when you're having them.
Everyone else has pretty much said what I would. Hang in there. I haven't cut in two weeks or so, seems like forever but I never would thought going this long was possible, so who knows how long I can go! Same with you Meme, there is endless possibilties out there and with the help of your conselor you will get through this!

Good luck.

at my counseling appointment yesterday she brought up cutting and not eating, I didn't want to talk about it so she would talk about other things then bring it back up, in the end I had to promise to eat and instead of cutting draw on myself....not working I have broken both promises......

Make sure that you tell her this at your next appt. She's there to help you and help you find ways to keep those promises.
If you still don't feel like you can trust her that's OK. It can take a while to trust your counselor, but in the meantime, just try to open up as much as you can.
Good luck and be careful Meme.

Try, when you want to do it, stopping yourself and thinking of reasons not to. Might help you a bit. Try and stay strong Meme

Try to tell her what you have been doing since your last appt. Tell her how hard it was to keep the promises and why.
