Has anyone ever had laser treatments for their scars? I am on my 2nd treatment. It hurts really badly and I feel so stupid for complaining about it because c'mon I have mutilated my arms and have been stitched up so much. The doctor was really nice though and said that she understood why this would hurt and not the cutting because cutting actually releases endorphins. She said I will probably need 6 or more treatments. OUCH but I am committed. It is really expensive also. I have to pick up extra shifts to pay for it.

I guess it just feels good to be doing something positive for myself and it is quite motivating for me to change my si behavior.

My doctor said, "yah next time you are going to cut just imagine Dr. L running after you with her laser!" Ha funny doc.

I am curious to hear of anyone elses experience with this and have you had good results? Has it prevented you from doing more si?

This is interesting. I didn't know you could do laser treatment to reduce scars.

Your doctor sounds awesome

Ignorant doctors are everywhere, and the fear that I'd get one is what keeps me from considering laser treatment. Well, that and the cost, because insurance sucks and won't cover it. But I'd be interested to know how well it works - keep us posted!
