I am so worried and frustrated and all these things I can't even figure out.
My kids and I are going to be losing our medical assistance as of Januray 1st because our "unearned income" is too high.
I don't know what to do, especially because I have no idea how to pay for my daughter to see her therapist and pdoc, and get her meds (she has adhd and is on Focalin XR, which has no generic, and regular focalin)
I don't know how I will afford to continue my therapy, dbt, pdoc and meds.
I can't keep fighting this fight. I just want to give up.

Cutting seems so appealing right now. I just want all the worry, the thoughts and the emotions to go away. I wish I could just not care. I want to cut so bad. I can't keep dealing with this stuff. I need it to go away

Nicole, dont give up. I cant get certain medical assistance either, but when you can't use one program, there are others. You may have to make adjustments, but it's not hopeless. Can you call united way? They can help you find solutions. My sister helped me find a mammogram and ultrasound when my insurance reached it's cap and i found a lump. I also changed drs and Ts. It's hard. I want to
give up. Today i really did after being er all night. But the day was all right. I was ok. You are going to can be ok. Your daughter is too. You can ride your emotions. Just breathe.

I made some adjustments to what my medicare will be so i am still covered. It's my kids that are my biggest worry because they are kids and so much can happen and my daughter is on meds.

Many states cover children's insurance. Did you look into that route? Many drug companies have programs to help people who can't afford their meds.

I checked the drug companies for the ones I need, but am not eligible for their programs. I am working on trying to get some kind of coverage for my kids.
I'm still waiting to hear if the medicare changes I wanted to make have gone through.
Having some pretty bad anxiety tonight, feel like I can't breathe again. I want to cut because I know it helps when I feel like this. At least I feel like I can breathe for a while

What's being counted in "unearned income"? You can appeal this if you have cause to refile your Income Tax for last year. I used to work for H&R Block & they offered a free review. Don't know whether they still do, but it's worth a try. Their main branch offices are open now.

Things like this don't just go away. You can deal with this. Cutting seems appealing due to your situation. You can get through this. Please keep yourself safe. You can do this!

Hi N, You can ask your daughters dr.'s to put you on a sliding scale of what you can actually pay. Also, contact the mfg of her meds and ask if they have a patient program for your daughter, most Pharm. mfg doo infact have these free programs. call them immedately so you can get her Jan. meds.

Hope this helps a little. best to you......
