I'm going to stop self harming for my boyfriend. He doesn't like it when I hurt myself. I haven't hurt myself for a day. I know it might sound stupid but it's a achievement so far. I hope I can stop self harming for a month or 2 months or never self harm.
Thanks for this!

Every day of not self-harming is an achievement, so I think that's fantastic! I am glad that you have decided not to self-harm, but am concerned that you are doing it for your boyfriend. The person you should be doing this for the most, is you. Because if you do something for someone else, and (God forbid), they leave your life, then the reason is gone. But you will be with you forever.

I find that what has helped me not to self-harm, is not to be overly concerned with a month from now, or a year from now...but instead taking things one day at a time. After all, today is the only day we can live. Wasting time pondering the past or the future does us no good, so I try to live in the moment!

You will be in my thoughts.

Good job. You should refrain from self harm for you, but i confess, i dont do it bc of bfriend too. He would see it and be worried and
disappointed. Also, i dont anymore bc i started getting infections easily. Whatever the reason for being good to yourself, keep it up!

You should love yourself! And do it for you!!

I'm glad you found some inspiration, if you will, or motivation by your relationship with your boyfriend.

I know I get inspired, at times, by interactions with people. But I also know I can't hang that goal on one thing or for anybody.

It just is never rewarding is I still have still have a sense of. . . emptiness. Then the added pressure of letting someone down (at least for me).

Bottom line: congratulations! YOU. . . You did because you controlled it!

And for that, you deserve to be very proud. I smile!

Thank you everyone for replying. I am doing it for my boyfriend and myself. If I feel an urge coming, I can try and control that urge and distract myself in a healthy way. Thanks for encouragement.
Thanks for this!
