Maybe some feelings came up for you about the session?

Trauma work can be quite confronting. How are you doing? Is there anything you can do that might help you to relax and take your mind of SI and today's session? I have found that sitting and reading or writing helps me at times when I'm struggling.

when i was in the hospital after ODing, i kept imagining causing harm to my self and it actually helped me to relax. it is not the best alternative but in a moment where you really want to cut, thinking is better than doing. i would also tell your t about what happened and what your feeling.
