Last night (after three years of thoughts and the last year of actually cutting myself- still can't believe I'm typing that) I told my two closest friends. I broke down in hard tears and shaking and stuttering and they bOth held me in their arms.

Those are amazing friends. It's hard telling those about what we do or think, but when we do (most generally speaking) it helps us to have a stronger support system.
Thanks for this!

They are incredible. After 3 years of keeping this secret I was absolutely terrified from head to toe. I told them I had something to tell them and they could tell something was wrong and we sat on my friends bed (the 3 of us) and they kept saying "anything you say won't make us love you any less" and then.. After 10 minutes of crying and shaking i just said it. Immediately my face fell into my lap and they bOth just grabbe me and hugged me. It was so much relief to get it off my chest... But still really painful to hear those two words come out of my mouth. Best part is they still treat me the same.

That is awesome. I haven't had the courage to tell any of my friends yet, so much respect from me to you. And I am so happy that they responded with love. You have great friends

Thank you. It was extremely hard. I was shaking so bad. I've never been that terrified in my life.

It can be! Don't keep thinking about it just do it. I spent two weeks agonizing myself over the thought. Thinking of every way it could happen what their response would be. It doesn't matter. Just do it.
Thanks for this!

It's awesome that you were able to do that. And it's so great that you have friends like that. *hugs*
