I really wanted to... you know, and my dog kept coming up and shoving his head in the way. I thought was just a fluke, but i moved around, tried to find a different spot and he kept wriggling and getting in the way. (walked around to my other side when i switched hands)
Now the urge has passed, and i even had something amusing happen! Guess pets really are good for us.
Hugs from:

You have a therapy dog & didn't even know it. Some dogs they train to be able to recognize when their owner is in trouble....siezures, etc...guess you dog without even training can tell your moods & when you are going to do something to harm yourself.

Yes they are, my old dog Sara was great at finding me when I was depressed, I would feel down then I would look down and she would be curled up at my feet.
