Had a really bad day yesterday. Crashed badly, wanted to cut, needed to cut. Went to the drawer where I keep the knife I use when I SI. On top of the knife, I keep a list of things to do instead of cutting. Read through the list but nothing looked possible at the moment or looked like it would work. Right when I was choosing to grab the knife and cut anyway, I remembered that I had signed a safety contract with my T again during my last session. It took a lot of willpower, and more strength than I thought I had, but I managed to make myself keep my word and choose not to cut. It might not sound like much, but it was a hard fought victory and it really meant something to me.

YAYYYYYY!!!!! Good Job *does happy dance for you* That is a huge victory. I know sometimes it feels like it shouldn't be, but that doesn't change the fact that it is. Hang in there.
