I'm trying to fight the temptation to si but I've found that sometimes I can get through better if I do something that hurts but doesn't leave much/any marks. I don't know if that's better (because I don't have the wounds and scars to worry about) or worse (because I perpetuate the addiction and eventually I go back to worse things). I would be interested to know if anybody else has eventually "tapered off" (I've been si for 20+ yrs). Thanks.

Less scaring and safer ways to si are still not healthy way of dealing with things.
But I totally get what your saying as I sometimes use these methods on relapses.
Keep strong all the time your not cutting burning etc it's much safer way. Keep posting if it helps
