Si is a coping strategy and although it is negative in the long run it does make it easier to make it to tomorrow!

Is there ever an okay time to SI?

thoughts opinions?

No. :/ I do it, but that's only because I've dug a hole that's hard to get out of. Self harm is exactly what it's called. Harming yourself. It's not a healthy way to cope at all, no matter what you're dealing with.

It definitely *feels* okay at the time, but most definitely *is* not.

I don't know, that's what people want you to believe. Right? Because then they think you won't do it more. But strip away everything down, ad there are worse things then that... and sometimes living in a different kind of pain keeps you from another that could be worse.

There are worse things, of course. There are always going to be worse things. But that's not a good excuse to hurt yourself. It is a bad thing, no matter where it stands on the bad stuff scale. It hurts the people around you when you do it as well, never mind about the risk of severing an artery, cutting open a vein, or getting a serious infection.

I'm not trying to blame you in away way, Lilly, I'm just stating my opinion. I know how perfectly fine it feels when you're doing it to yourself, so I understand where you're coming from.

it's a hard thing to stop.

for me.. i do it because i hate myself, and when i feel the blood flow- it's like hatred is flowing away from my body.

i wrote a poem about it...
