i know it is no big deal but i am wanting to hurt myself again. i promised my T that i was OK and know there will be consequences if i do this again but i am finding it hard to care.i really am. wo cares if i hurt myself .it makes me feel better. i don't care what she does if i do hurt myself. life sux anyway

your friends care if you hurt yourself. you're hurting them too when you SI. try to think of something else to do. Take a bath or listen to music or draw.

two weeks ago she had me go into the hospital for a week.i am convinced it was because i SIed 2 weeks before that.she said it was up to me but she was concerned that she cared more about my well being then i did and that was not ok and she needed to know that i was safe for now. i worry that if i SI again she will do it again for longer. i understand that i wasn't thinking to great and was quite upset but i hated it,it just isn't for me at all. i don't ever want her to do that again

i made it through christmas without SIing.in fact christmas day was not so badchristmas eve sucked but i didn't SI

That's Great!

Please, please try the ice cube S.I. alternative :
Clench a fist full of ice cubes tightly. Squeeze your fist as tight as possible. Feel the ice cubes against your skin, feel the 'burn'. Watch the ice melt in your closed fist, let it drip and flow freely. This is a substitute for S.I. and the melting ice dripping through your fist is the 'blood' from the S.I. Use this as often as you feel a need to release through S.I. Please try it. |

Dear granite, it does matter if you hurt yourself. We all care about you and don't want you to hurt from yourself or someone else. Please try some other options. Another one I heard of was drawing or writing on yourself with a red marker where you would like to cut. But some find this too triggering. Also try drawing, screaming, journalling.
