I am feeling so sad today. I have no reason to explain why. I normally don't feel. I numb it. My friend told me it was good I was letting myself feel. I like feeling happy, experiencing JOY, but not feeling sad, angry, or any of what I would call the negative feelings. I don't know how I am going to get through tomorrow without either sh, gambling, or drinking. It has been a long time since I have used sh, but an even longer time since I have drank. It definitely is a low day. How do I get through feeling, or do I just find a way to cheer myself up?

Thanks for letting me share!

Hi wish, feeling sad sometimes is part of life. You probably have quite a backlog if you haven't allowed yourself to feel these feelings. If you allow the feelings to come they will pass. If you stuff these feelings they will be stay with you. Reach out for support during this. We will support you here.

I try to get to a meeting when I am down (AA or something similar). Even if I don't feel like interacting, it helps a lot to just sit there and listen.
