I know I haven't been in this forum in a while, but hear me out:
Tomorrow is March 1st, which marks Self Injury Awareness Day (SIAD). Of course all of us here are more than painfully aware of the existence of self-injury, but there are some people who are not. It's up to us to educate people who are unaware of self-injury. I'm not saying that tomorrow is when we have to spill our guts to everyone we know that we SI or have done so in the past. Heavens no. But what we *should* do is make others aware that SI is a real issue affecting real people who need real support. That's all. You could just say to someone "Oh btw, did you know today is SI Awareness Day?" just to get them thinking, even if it's just a little. The colors are orange and white. Spread awareness. ![]() - AJ |
