My therapist has said to me not to beat myself up if I have to resort to my negative coping behaviors(burning/binge-purge) while we work together on healing. It is what I know to make it day to day and would not expect me to just stop. It is the beating myself up over doing it that he is more concerned about. That, in itself, brings out the self critic that cause more inner pain.
Thanks for this!

I am engaging in self-destructive behaviours again myself over the past while.

I don't know what else to say to you right now other than to let you know you are not alone.

Your not alone. I started after 8 years of not. Sometimes life puts us under a lot of stress and we can't cope with the skills we have. Try to keep yourself safe and not hurt yourself too badly. I'm not encouraging self harm, im just saying your trying to cope and I think that is a good thing. I hope things get easier for you, and you find better ways to cope. Don't beat yourself up too badly for resorting to SI.

This year I was back to sh after years of not doing it. I told my pdoc about it. He had been away for three months. Given that I had such a long time of not doing it, he knows I can resist. So he encouraged me to continue to resist. He said it is easy to I am going to try.

I know its hard resisting but please try. We are stronger than we think. Lets resist together..........
