I know that it won't do me any good but I can't stop thinking about how good it would feel. Crap.

That sort of obsession is horrible. One thing I have used in the past to stop myself was to allow myself to run the entire scenerio through my head. If its done with enough detail, it can sometimes keep you from hurting yourself. Since you can't not think about it, just fantasize it.

I don't know if that is an accepted thing to do, I only know that it worked for me quite often. Have you ever been really angry with someone that you knew you would have to confront and fantasize about what you would say, how they would answer and the conclusion? Its a lot like that.

Thanks guys. I've quit (this is like my third time or something) and right now I'm mainly dealing with missing it as opposed to immediate super intense urges. But still. I miss it. A lot. And I don't even know why because I'm in an emotionally okay-ish place right now.

Hmm.... one of the main things that stops me is thinking of the crushing guilt that would come the morning after. :P If I could be guilt-free then I would be all for it.

I can totally relate to that... that and if it didn't come with consequences...

For me the only consequence is letting myself down. Oh, and the one friend who knows and has been quitting self harm herself as well (almost forgot about that). We are both many months along and I want both of us to make it.

Thinking about trashing all SI items tmrw morning. I tried to do it two months but I couldn't bring myself to. Don't know how it would turn out. What do you think?

's AJ ...

Maybe throw out all the SI instruments and replace them with color markers and draw positive messages and nice things on you instead?

That isn't a cure all, but it has helped me numerous times.

PFROG!!!!!

Have not thrown stuff out yet. Doing it tmrw. If not tmrw then sometime this week. I need to get it out of my system once and for all... that way even if I keep thinking about it (which I will) there won't be much for me to do about it...

So I threw them away and I thought I was going to feel really great afterwards but now I'm just constantly wondering why I decided to quit in the first place.
