I hate to assume, but if you are referring to it being time to SI, try to hold off another day. All you will get by harming yourself is a very short periodof relief. Having fought that battle for years and years, it seems that while the relief is temporary, the scars aren't. If you look at the entire experience of SI, there are more cons than pros. You feel fleeting relief, followed by guilt, shame, feeling out of control, scars, loss of self esteem and the list goes on.

Anytime you have pain, be it physical or emotional, the temptation to grab at any relief, no matter how short lived is overwhelming. Do you really know why you harm yourself? Anger, depression, desperation, feeling trapped......

I know that when I would finally give in, it was usually because i felt trapped with no way out or a situation. The feeling would build until I would just lose it. The urges are still there when the same triggers pop up, but having gained control over those urges is so much better than what I would wind up feeling a day or two after SI.

Do anything you can to distract yourself. Its just not worth it.
