Since 11 (8 years ago) I have being on and off cutting myself, it has become an addiction and I havent cut since march 19, I have been strong but I cant hold it in anymore! I need the release! cutting takes the pain that builds up inside and releases it out and makes me calm. I really need some advice. please.

is there any other way for you to get the release? journaling, art, exercise, pets, being with people, talking? I have found in the past, art and being with my animals has helped a lot, as did talking to people...
