I couldn't hold the urge anymore. It became stronger than me. Seven cuts from yesterday and counting, I just can't stop. This is hell.

In past years I've tried many ways of coping, the one that works the most is sport, but even that isn't 100% effective. I was always getting SI and SUI thoughts and urges, I was fighting it too long, I'm tired to fight it now. I've found out SI is the only thing that truly works. Or at least for a few hours.

I have heard that holding an ice cube in your hand works, if you hold it tightly. I haven't tried this, but apparently it gives the same release that you experience from cutting. I hope that this may help you.

To add to that, snapping a rubber band against your skin can help.
