how do you cope when you're your own worst enemy?
when you have nothing positive to say about yourself. you feel horrible. you feel like you failed. you put yourself down. etc etc etc

It's hard I know, but there's always something worthwhile in yourself, even if you can't see it right now, I've been there, more often than not.
Maybe try to focus on self improvement, learn a new skill, and at the end of the day you'll have something to focus on, even if its something as simple as "I've focused on self improvement, and I'm getting there."
You haven't failed, life isn't a win/fail arrangement, it's a constantly moving and changing thing, and you have what it takes to make it whatever you want, you just need to try to remember that each day is a new start, or new hour, minute etc.
we all have crappy days or weeks, but you are worth so much more than how you feel right now.

Very relate-able June. Almost a bit too close to home really. Although speaking as a guy - I am sure there are some differences....

I too have the feeling that I am my own worst enemy. I too feel that I am a pile of poo...... I feel like I have been a waste of space.

HOWEVER - part of me knows that is an unfair assessment. I have been a relatively well compensated computer-geek (self humor) for longer than I like to admit. I have two daughters who are both completely awesome in their own way and they love me almost as much as I love them.

So there is some good. It is just hard/impossible to accept crediting myself for anything positive. I have been mentally abused for so long - I guess I just accept all self-negative thoughts as fact and deservedly so.

My point??? You are not alone. I hope you hang in there.

It's just worse when I am tired and overwhelmed because there is too much to do and it is taking too long. Or the task is not as easy as expected. and that's when all those negative feelings and negative self talk come up. I feel like I can't do it. Too much. Things never slow down.

Again - I can very much understand these feelings. For me it is uncontrolled anxiety. Not sure if that is the case for you.........

I hope you find a way to relax, slow down and find some PEACE within your soul.

Is there anyway you can get counseling? A therapist could help you learn to coping skills for this. I do think it is caused by stress. When you mood is at it's worst, I would make a list of all the good things there are about you and then when you get down on yourself read the list to remind yourself you are not what your mind is trying to tell you.

Right you are.

Just remembering what's in your bag of tricks before you get to that way of feeling.

Maybe then focus on ways to change those views. Maybe look at yourself and your life in the "bigger picture", or from someone else's perspective; this helps me, sometimes.
