I felt the same way when I stopped SI-ing on my wrist and moved on to my waist. I also felt like I had "a lot more to work with". It felt so good at the time but as I continued, I ran out of space and that was definitely one of the most shameful feelings ever. And then there's the whole thing with swimming suits and shorts and I don't want you to go through that! Please take care.

I used to feel like that back in the day; boy, was my head all backwards. I hope you can see past the fog, and truly realise what you are doing to yourself, emotionally, and physically.

My legs were the first place I started. But I have this like designated carved in box that I stick too. Well obviously that ran out of room quick. So i've moved up my legs. Like one of the previous posters stated - its pretty difficult to cover with shorts/bathing suits but I don't often wear either and found that as long I cut higher up. I'm okay with it.

I've never cut my wrists so I can't compare the two, but I find its a lot more private to do the legs. Either way be careful because there are some pretty important veins in those areas as well.

I limit myself to my upper thighs. First, it is basically not visible to anyone (won't upset my kids or others). Second, my DBT therapist "challenged" me to only do it there.

In the very beginning I did my arms... then chest. When I started doing my thighs it was GREAT because the skin was so tender. It worked great and I could get a lot of satisfaction. Now the skin seems "tougher" (maybe not to the touch, but it shows up on how the razor acts).

Makes me want to go back to my arms. You can SEE the tender skin there.

I started cutting my legs when I got a job where I have to wear long pants but short sleeves. At first the plan was that I'd stop cutting my wrist and only cut my legs instead, but it ended up that I need to do both. My wrist is better for when I need to see blood, and my legs are better for when I need to feel pain.

that actually makes a lot of sense

I cut there too I feel like my forearms are too open and I just want somewhere private. I wonder why is it so easy to cut there.. Just a small poke and it'll bleed?! o_o

Eh, sadly same here. I did do it on my upper shoulder but now I do it on my thighs and hip.
