We played a game called Scar Wars in school today. Everyone finds a scar and explains the story behind it. I couldn't find any safe scars to do.

That sounds like a horrible game.
![]() Do the others know that you self-harm? If they do, it was really unfair of them to play that game around you. |

No they didn't know. But I'm not sure why any adult who knows anything about self-harm would ever make that game and have kids play it.

That is asking for trouble. Smh. I'm actually glad you didn't expose yourself to the pressure like that. You're scars are deeper than the average "jungle gym" scar and I hope they respected your decision to keep them private. I do. Sorry you had to deal with such a hard and awkward situation!

What was the idea around it? Was this a teacher? Was it like a science class talking about...I don't know cell regeneration or something? If an adult teacher came up w/this can you talk to the teacher?
Doesn't sound good. Its not a competition |

It's just this meet and greet game. It's supposed to make you get to know people better, although I'm not sure how. The whole thing seems like a bad idea.

It's just for talking, but this reminds me of something I read in my English book, where there's an activity where you have to speak about a scar you have and where it comes from.
I can't explain where my scars come from. |

That sounds like quite an uncomfortable game. If I had to play it, however, I am grateful to know that I have other visible scars, completely unrelated to that time in my life. Nothing, like having to stop and think about it, even for a moment, however.

Don't be ashamed of your scars, they are battle wounds. They show how much of a warrior you are. And if any one asks say you fought a bear that's how I explain mine
