... I'm looking for an excuse to do it; how can I approach this? Any ideas?

All I can offer is that I feel the same way. As soon as I finish up some work I need to do I'm going outside to play with my dog and hopefully it will pass. Maybe do some sort of activity you enjoy?
Thanks for this!

I would suggest go call a friend you trust and talk to them about something random. If you feel the need to vent, then vent. It might help, it might not. Just a suggestion.
Thanks for this!

Thanks; ordinarily, I would do that, but that was the early hours of the morning, in bed, ... only so many options at that point, and if I keep doing that, I'll never sleep.

I feel like that as well. The time of day varies....when I drive, I feel like driving my car off of the road, into a mountain.

I wake up every night btwn 2-3. I usually take the dog out, even if she does not want to.

Sometimes I think what I WANT to do before I die, which will keep me from doing anything. (Example, go to Hawaii)

My best tip is to make a schedule. Therefore leaving no time for it (which sometimes fails, as it did for me last night, but the thing is you're trying it that has more weight).

When you wake up, make sure not to lay around too long. Get up, get yourself something to drink and something to eat.

I write after that as well. Write what may be triggering you that day and what excuses you feel like you're formulating (I do it to, it sucks) and from then on out plan your day.

Take a walk if you're able.
Clean something.
Rest, but rest with something to keep you occupied, a book, music, etc.

I try to continue like that. My problem is the night time.
