I got rid of all of them, but the problem is, I'm quite opportunistic, and there's so many sharp things around everywhere.

That is a great start. It at least removes some of the temptation around you. It takes time, but try working on distraction techniques if you can. In time it gets easier to manage even when the temptations are there.

Your main source of SI has been removed. That is a major step. Congrats!
There is, I think, no way to remove all the temptations, it will always be a choice you have to make whether you SI or not. Sometimes learning ways to outlast the impulse has helped me. Journaling is usually my last ditch effort to stop myself from SI. Good luck.

I agree with your premise. You got rid of the ones you are used to using - but LOTS of things can be used.

Thus, the thing that you really need to get rid of - is your desire to SH.

*hugs to you.

I'm constantly surrounded by sharp things; to some extent we all are, but getting rid of stuff like you did, is more symbolic, than anything, so it's a very good step - well done.
