My partner and I went for dinner this evening, the waitress asked about the cuts on my arm. At first she thought it was from a dog's nails, it was easier to lie when I said it was the cat! I, atleast have 5 of those and they do have their claws, but they have actually never clawed me.

It was awkward to say the least. I can't say anyone in their right mind has actually had the nerve to come right out and ask....

Wow. I can't believe someone would ask that... I would only hope that she was young enough and naïve enough to not realize how insensitive that is... I know a year ago, I wouldn't have realized how much those comments and questions can cut into you, so I very much hope the same is true for her.... I am sorry you had to deal with that...
