Today has been exactly a week since I last cut. And I decided to quit for good.

I started self harming when I was around the age of 6 or 7 through hitting myself. Then, late 2011/super early 2012, I began to cut.

It's been too long that I've relied on razors for relief. I've told myself I was going to quit before, but I never did. The longest I lasted was three weeks.

This time, though, it's for good. I'm going to really give it my all to quit.

I guess what I really need right now is just support and good vibes. Because the urges are terrible, but I'm trying not to give in.

I'm just going to stop. Cold turkey. Cross my heart. [and cross my fingers]

Good for you. Congratulations on making it a week. Find plenty of things to keep you mind busy. Wishing you the best. I quit 10 years ago and am so glad I did.

Congrats for taking a big step. The only thing I can tell you is that it helps to have a list of things to do when the impulse hits.

Good luck!
