when will life give me a break . apparently i now have heart disease and the doc is wanting me to go on this medication that will cause me to bleed easy. SI is something i have done for a very long time . i know this sounds stupid but i am not panicked about the heart disease but about not being able to SI because of bleeding

I probably shouldn't say this but I have a blood clotting disorder that makes me bleed easily and I still cut. Just not too deep and I know how to take care of the cuts should it bleed too much.

Blood thinners do make it hard to get the bleeding to stop. I'm on blood thinners and don't SI anymore but stubbed my toe and it bled forever. So be careful and try to use this as a good time to stop cutting. Good luck to you.

Yeah blood thinners and SI do not mix...

SI is not a healthy coping mechanism so best to learn to cope without it.

it's hard to give up a useful coping skill (at least one that has served you for so long). I hope you can find alternative ways to cope. (hugs)

SI is not harming yourself and hurting your loved ones. My dad was SI because he refused to quit smoking even though it might lead to severe health issued. It ended up costing life life and it hurts all family members so much!

SI is dangerous don't play around and treasure your own self! By taking care of yourself your making your loved ones happy. My dad's heart problems worsen and he refused to let us know nor drinking his blood thinner meds!

Only him can help himself but we all ended up feeling very guilty!
