darkmood,
eating disorders can be as hard to kick as heroin addiction. Part of it is OCDC, and in part low self esteem. Its dangerous behavior and the sooner you can get it under control, the better.

Our society steers us towards bodies that are too thin, making people of normal weight feel like they are overweight. You can't turn on the T.V. without seeing women who are basically bags of bones. Eating disorders are a bit dillusional, because when you look in the mirror, you see a fat person. It doesn't matter if you are severely underweight. You will still see someone who is too fat.

Binging and purging can take over your life, being all that you think about. You give up all the things you used to like doing and plan your day based on being able to buy the food, be able to eat it, then privacy to purge. Its an addiction and a bad coping skill.

Talk to your therapist. There are some medications that have shown promise in controlling the urge to binge and purge. Right now, it is out of your control, and you need help. Besides the danger of severe electrolyte imbalances that can kill you, forcefully vomiting up food can get stuck on the way up and choke you. i'm sure you have figured out which foods come up more easily.
It takes roughly a year for your body to recover for each year you continue the behavior. For instance, if you binge and purge for three years, it will take your body about three years to recover. Vomiting also erodes the enamel on your teeth, usually the molars, and once that is gone, you can't get it back.

While you are recovering, make sure you brush your teeth after you purge. That will at least help with the enamel erosion. Part of what you are vomiting is hydrochloric acid from your stomach. You won't see the effects of erosion right away. It will show up when you are a little older and you will wind up losing your teeth.
