Does anyone else's urge to cut get worse when they think/ try to stop? Like it's not something you obsess over unless you think about having to stop? Also does anyone know some ways to hide scars/cuts for gym??

Hi, I guess it can be like a comfort just knowing it's there and it's a possibility even if you don't need it at the time, then at least you know that IF...........
But when you aren't obsessing about it might be a really good time to think of some alternatives or some different coping skills for IF........
Is there anything in your life that may be leading to the cutting though? Anything that maybe you can take steps in changing? Sometimes even small changes can make a big difference. Or do you think you could talk to someone about it? It may help.
Anyway maybe thinking more along the lines of you're not going to "stop" cutting but you just aren't going to go that that route anymore/right now might help just a little???
I know that may sound a lot easier said than done but anything that helps, if only a little, right?? There ARE other ways to cope!!
As for hiding the scars/cuts. Anything anyone else is wearing that covers the areas you're thinking about? Maybe you could "match in"?
Thanks for this!
