I keep getting images of cutting my wrists open. Everytime I try to switch off or stop what I'm doing these thought and images will fill my mind. And I find it impossible to shake them. I should be asleep now but I closed my eyes and saw blood. I saw myself doing it.

I don't get it because I actually feel pretty good right now. I haven't cut since the start of the year.

I'm considering just taking some pills to knock myself out for a bit....

I'm sorry you are having those thoughts, and I hope you can be strong for yourself and not act on it.

I get those thought often enough to understand. I think it might be a way for you to not have to do it in real life. Can you try to direct your mind to think about something else?

I managed to sleep in the end without resorting to pills. And yeah....I can distract myself for a bit, it's when I stop that it starts again. It gets worse at night when I'm trying to sleep. I'll be all calm and relaxed and then those thoughts will start up again and there's no way that I'm sleeping...
