Yes I did! And when I celebrated day 500 I decided to go to the beach and enjoy the sun and the fact that I can wear a bathing suits with no fresh scars or having to hide. I can just lay in the sun.
Thanks for this!

You know I am. For the first time ever I actually feel proud of myself. I was just thinking yesterday about the meeting I had with my parents over a year ago with my counselor to tell them about my self injury and how humbling and embarassing it was. And I thought about how they were just like "Ok. We'll support and help you in any way we can." and how my sister was so kind about it. And I thought about how I don't have to feel super awkward and embarassed anymore. And I am really happy. Before I use to think a month without cutting was like the most awful thing-now i'm so happy to live without it. Thanks!
Thanks for this!

Glad to hear it! My longest streak was 3 and a half years, then I relapsed (but it wasn't as bad as I expected - I found it easier to forgive myself and that made all the difference). Best post I've seen in a while!
