there are other ways to coping than cutting or self-harm in some way.. im not saying to stop or anything.. but one of the thinhs i do instead of cutting is writting poems and the rubberband..

Very true Those are great ways to try and manage the urges and cope without self-harm. It isn't easy but it is definitely possible to cope without self-harm, and over time it does get easier as the urges to harm lessen.
