I can't do this. I thought i could .... but i can't, and i am weak ugggh My friend is trying to help me stop, and i honestly want to stop cutting but i can't. I look down and i can see the marks where i cut before, can see the scars, but there are no fresh cuts, and that bothers me so much. Its like i experience anxiety when i look down and don't see anything .... I need to so bad, but i know if i do i'll regret it. I'll just end up doing more damage to myself in the long run, and i'll hurt my friend by disappointing her ... I dont know what to do.....holidays suck.

You aren't weak. You are going through a type of withdrawal...and it isn't easy... I think you are doing pretty good, instead of just doing it, you came here to try and delay it and maybe prevent this. You'll feel better about yourself in the long run, for your efforts, even if you don't feel good now, imo.

Sounds like you have a very caring friend. You could find out what is stopping you from not cutting and fix that. Good luck and God bless! ugggh

Hey. How about if you get a big magic marker. Red, if you like... And you draw marks on yourself.

I knew someone who tried that and she said it really helped. She would scribble on herself when she was upset and hurting and she said that if you get a waterproof one the marker takes a while to wear off (heal) too...

Just a thought...
