I cut today. I feel so disappointed in myself. I feel hopeless. I cut today because I have a plan to runaway and I told my brother and I was afraid he would tell my mom, or even worse... My dad. So I got anxious and cut. Now its hot outside and I have on long sleeves. My life is such a mess. And when I cut, I feel bad.... Which makes me want to cut even more. Its a deadly cycle and im not sure how to stop it.

Why do you want to runaway? Maybe it's a good thing for your brother to tell a parent so the issue can be resolved...

Its a long story, but basically, my dad is a douche bag and I hate being there. He only adds to my depression. And I feel like if I runaway, I can finally break free of the chains of being there.

Can you ask your mom if you could see a therapist or even get some family therapy?

Ive had therapy in the psych ward, then we did it a little bit after I got out. But for whatever reason, we stopped going.

I felt the same way, and still do to some extent as far as running away. I'm glad that you have your mom to talk to, but think about the effects that will happen if you run away.

Will it make things better?
Will it make things at home worse?
What consequences would you possibly have to endure?

Hang in there... my dad is similar (of course I don't know details, but I have similar thoughts and feelings towards mine as yours). Don't beat yourself up when you cut either. Know that its okay to make mistakes, but learn from them. We're here for you, and keep your chin up. Things will get better
