I have this nervous tick. I am scratching alot the top of my hair line on the top of my head. The pain soothes me. But I really can't stop. It bleeds and Then I feel emotional release. I am getting over doing that to a place on my arm. I scratched it raw for two years. I finally was given Hydroxizine to do two things: I to treat depressive compulsivity and to help take the itching away. I get the nervous edgy thing going and self harm. It is totally self harm. I just wanted advice from you and even some emotional boosting to tell me things will get better and tell me that others have been trying to overcome . Thanks, Crape.

Hi, Crepe, glad you found PC.

There is always hope to overcome compulsive selfharm. It's not easy. Usually counseling does work best. Having someone to be accountable to is important and that can be someone on the internet even as long as you are honest to them. Keep posting you will find hope and hopefully with your doctor's help can overcome your selfharming issues. Good luck
