I became offended today and I started thinking really bad angry thoughts and this creates pain inside my head and chest. It is a really painful thing to do. It feels terrible . It is habitual. It is very hard to stop.

Hello, PianogirlPlays. There is some illogic to allowing a slight to cause you such pain.

Piano.....

I get that way too... I can be going along fine and one tiny thing can set me off.....

Have you tried any ways to "turn" your mood?? I am guessing (by your name) that music is very important to you - have you tried listening to some upbeat music that you like???

Gods blessings to you.
Thanks for this!

I managed a few good moments today. But it felt pretty big to me after all I have been through. It is just so easy to get out of control again. Behavior too! Food alcohol any thing to dull the pain. Oh to regain control !

Sounds like you are triggering & re-triggering yourself. I do this a lot too. My therapist is basically ordering me to stop spending time on the internet and watching tv. I need to exercise more. Do more work. Do more, more, more, more.... ARG.

My point is - there is no "one fix". You need to constantly be working on reducing your triggers, reduce your stress. Find things that you enjoy - and go do them. NO limits. NO excuses.

Screw money, debt, fear, whatever - go have fun. It is what you deserve.
Thanks for this!

It is true that busy is better. Really stuck right now in pain. Feeling "mistreated "by neglect. A habit of thinking that brings pain. I did however clean out a closet today and accomplished several loads of laundry. That does help!

Congrats to you on "making" yourself do some activities (I know that can be really hard when you are upset). You should be very proud of yourself for this.

Nice job.
Thanks for this!
