I'm 20 and I've been self harming since I was 4. I've always fallen back on it. In between drugs and drinking. I hadn't cut in 9 months but I'm so stressed that I cut tonight. We'll I don't feel the relief I usually feel. Scared that I lost my coping mechanism. Has that happened to anyone ?

Hi there!

It has definately happened to me! It leaves you feeling very frustrated!

Give yourself some credit for coming on here and reaching out for some support and using a healthy coping skill!

What made you self harm? Whats been stressing you out?
How do you feel now, a few hours later?

I've had that happen before. It's frustrating. It's there anything that had worked while you were not self harming? Can you try that coping skill(s)?
