This month marks my 10th year of not cutting. Unfortunately the urge to cut has never been stronger and all of the coping skills I've used are no longer possible. The only thing keeping me going at this point is a promised I made to my wife that I wouldn't.

I'm desperate to keep my promise and I'm looking for anything that has allowed others to cope. Any help would be appreciated.

10 years, that's amazing. Definitely be proud of yourself! Journaling helps me

Is there any way to distract yourself by doing something fun, maybe go out to eat or to see a movie? It's okay to feel down; more matters how we react to it. Things seem to be really rough right now - is there any way you can bring your wife (who you obviously adore) into "your world" so that she can hold your hand and help "pull you out" so to speak? So sorry you are struggling. 10 years is quite an accomplishment.
